Frequently Asked Questions About Our Wax Services
What is waxing? Waxing is the removal of unwanted facial and/or body hair from the root. This is done by placing warm wax, the consistency of honey, over the hair to be removed. A cotton strip is then placed over that and with one quick, smooth motion, the strip, wax and hair are removed.
Does it hurt? At first, waxing can be uncomfortable because it is a new sensation. After a while, discomfort subsides since less hair is removed after each time.
How long do results last? Typically results will last several weeks. It is suggested that you wax every 4-8 weeks to maintain your results.
How long does my hair need to be? Hair should be between 1/4" - 1/2" for optimal results.
Is waxing okay for everybody? Waxing is not recommended for people with diabetes, using certain medications such as Retinoids, or who have other skin conditions. Please discuss any concerns with your esthetician.
What about ingrown hairs? As a new hair grows in, it can become trapped under the surface of the skin. With regular exfoliation, you can lessen or elimate this from happening.

Modesty: Most massage techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, you may decide what amount of clothing you prefer to wear for your own comfort. The therapist will leave the room while you undress, cover yourself, and relax onto the table. You will be properly draped during the session, and only the area being worked on will be exposed. A typical full-body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders.
